Does upscaling improve blurry photos?

Upscaling increases the physical dimensions but does not restore detail lost during blur or heavy compression. It works best on sharp originals that were simply too small.

What is the maximum output resolution?

There is no hard cap — a 4× scale on a 1024×1024 input produces a 4096×4096 output. Be aware that very large files take longer to generate and download.

Why PNG output instead of JPG?

PNG is lossless, preserving every pixel of the upscaled result. Saving as JPEG would introduce compression artefacts that undermine the upscaling work.
